Creation of a WIPO PROOF token
– Access the web application through the WIPOProof and create a WIPO account.
– The user uploads a digital file that one wishes to apply a token.
– Firstly, the local browser will generate a unique digital fingerprint for your uploaded file using a one-way hashing algorithm called SHA-2 (256bit).
– Now, WIPO PROOF’s back-end system will time-stamp the hash with a time source that is synchronized with the Co-ordinated Universal Time (UTC).
– There is a locked-down Hardware Security Module (HSM), that stores a private key. This key creates a digital signature to the hash. Furthermore, it also adds a public key to ensure authenticity.
